Staff Architects

Shalom Baranes Associates (SBA) is looking for staff architects who are passionate about design, innovative and versatile with an interest in problem solving, documentation and detailing. Staff architects at SBA who focus on the technical implementation of design for large-scale base building projects are strongly design-oriented with the proven ability to recognize and implement design intent. In this role, candidates will:

• Develop construction documentation, including specifications
• Ensure that contract drawings reflect design intent
• Coordinate the work of consultants

The role requires strong technical skills in:

• Exterior and interior details
• Production drawings
• Technical documentation
• Revit

Required qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• 5+ years of architectural experience encompassing the role described above
• Successful history of working closely with design teams to translate design into production drawings
• Revit proficiency
• Bluebeam experience
• A background in urban base building and multi-family residential projects
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and local regulatory processes
